Step Up To Forest 6 - a hybrid between sixth form and college. Study our wide of range of A level and vocational subjects in our purpose-built Sixth Form only centre. It is also fitted with WIFI throughout, and a Sixth Form only all-day cafe.
Forest Sixth offers a wide range of A level and vocational subjects and accepts both male and female students. Tutors with years of experience mentor, tutor and motivate students. Oxbridge support, careers, community, volunteering programmes are readily accessible.

The Forest School sixth form operates a pathway approach enabling students to have the widest selection of subjects as well as a range of pathways into university, apprenticeships or work.
Entrance Criteria
Please find details of the sixth form's entrance criteria here. We calculate scores in the following way: When you receive your GCSE or vocational results allocate points to each of your GCSES/vocational courses using the table below. Add the points together for English and maths + your best 6 other subjects. Use the table below to which pathway is most suitable for you. |

A Choice of Pathways in Forest 6
A Choice of Pathways in Forest 6
Our courses are now more inclusive and engaging than ever. We offer three pathways to help you to progress to higher education, or into employment /apprenticeships.
The first pathway
Is academic, supporting access to the Russell Group (the top 24 universities in the UK) with additional assistance for Oxbridge applicants. Typical A level - Mathematics & Further Maths, English, the Sciences and Humanities subjects; courses would almost be entirely exam based.
The second pathway
Encompasses a wider range of A level subject including the arts, business, computing, IT etc. courses have a mixture of exams and coursework assessment.
The third pathway
Is based on a mix of A level and vocational subjects with emphasis on continuous assessment and fewer final exams, our vocation subjects are equivalent to a single or double A level and UCAS points.
