Students take to the slopes!

Years 8 to 11 had a fantastic time during our ski trip in December to Sestriere, Italy. We had a range of skiers with us from beginners to advanced who made the most of the slopes on offer. Sestriere is a large resort that offers great slopes even with the sunny weather we had on the trip. All students progressed throughout the week and showed their resilience even when they found new skills challenging. The Advanced group certainly challenged themselves on the many black runs they skied with confidence and skill whilst having this recorded for their GCSE PE coursework.

Throughout the trip students also joined in with other activities such as ice skating, a quiz, games, shopping evening and finishing with a celebration evening where they gave and received Secret Santa gifts. We know the students enjoyed their trip and would like to thank them for their company, but also to the teachers who accompanied us on the trip, Mr Light, Mrs Manning, Mrs Widdicombe and Miss Olaya.
