Uniform

The Years 7 – 11 Uniform: 

• *BLAZER: Blue with School Badge.  Blazers should be worn by all students unless permission has been given otherwise. 
• *TIE: School Tie with appropriate house badge.  Ties should be correctly tied with 7 stripes showing and the knot at collar level. 
• SHIRT: PLAIN white, long or short sleeved. Shirts must be fully tucked in at all times. T shirts or vests worn under shirts must be plain white. 
• TROUSERS: Tailored, straight cut black trousers (NOT denim, corduroys, legging/jegging (stretchy) material, no flared or bell bottomed trousers, or tracksuit bottoms). Plain black belt with simple buckle (no studded or designer belts). Students should not be wearing sports shorts or training / tracksuit bottoms underneath their school trousers. Trousers should be worn correctly, secured at the waist with a black belt with a simple buckle if required, a belt is not compulsory. Students who do not adhere to these expectations will be sanctioned and parent informed.  
• *SKIRT: Forest Skirt - worn to knee at all times. Repeated breaches of this may result in loss of privileges
• JUMPER: Plain black ‘v’ neck jumper to be worn under the school blazer with the V deep enough to show the school tie. 
• SOCKS / TIGHTS: Plain black sock (with no obvious/ contrasting colour branding/logo) / Natural or black Tights. Socks must not be worn on the outside of tights. 
• SHOES: Plain black, leather-look shoes (NO canvas shoes, trainers, trainer/casual styled shoes or shoes with obvious logos under any circusmtances).  Shoes will be loaned to students without shoes and a detention will be issued for incorrect uniform. Written notes / emails are not accepted. Students with medical insoles can wear these inside of Forest approved school shoes.
• OUTERWEAR: A black coat or hooded jacket (NOT hoodies). To be worn over a blazer and only outside the school buildings. 
• JEWELLERY: A simple analogue wristwatch is permitted. Smart watches are not permitted.  A single, plain, small silver or gold stud is allowed in each ear. Diamond studs, earrings/hoops, sleeper hoops, stretchers or plugs are not permitted in Years 7-11. Earrings are permitted in Sixth Form (Years 12 & 13).  Festival style wristbands are not permitted. No other Jewellery items permitted including; rings, necklaces, bangles, bracelets, anklets. Jewellery worn not in line with the policy will be confiscated and returned on the last day of the academic year. The school is not liable nor accepts any responsibility for items brought onto the premises.
• HAIR: Hair needs to be neat and tidy, and suitable for a business environment. Hair should be of natural colour, hair jewellery/beads are not permitted, and no patterns, lines/’slits’ or words shaved into hair or eyebrows. Hair needs to be tied back during practical activities. Hijab or religious head coverings worn must be plain black or navy blue with no embellishments or jewelled securing pins/clips.
• MAKEUP, FALSE EYELASHES, FAKE TAN AND NAIL VARNISH/NAIL ENHANCEMENTS: Any makeup must be discreet - Foundation makeup should blend into the skin colour. It is not permitted to use lip or eye colour, false eyelashes, fake tan. No nail varnish or nail enhancements are to be used in years 7 to 11, however, year 12 and 13 students may wear lip, eye and nail colour. 
• We reserve the right to instruct students to remove any of the above on site. Pimple patches if used must be nude or clear and round in shape. No brightly coloured items or shapes e.g stars.

* Compulsory branded items to comply with statutory guidance from September 2026. Schools are permitted up to three branded uniform items in addition to the school tie. At our school, the third branded item for girls is the PE polo shirt. For boys, the second and third branded items are the PE polo shirt and the midlayer.
