Sport Relief—Forest students went the extra mile

23rd April 2018

Here at The Forest School we’re always happy to get involved and raise money for charitable causes.

Each year students and staff raise thousands of pounds for charity. This year has been no exception. Students and staff have set various challenges, including the popular ‘run a mile’, which takes place around Forest’s Arbor Lane sports pitches; many students run far more than one mile. Four Year 7 students have taken part in a sponsored swim. Two students, Christopher M and Logan H set a challenge to raise money by cycling from the New Forest to Ashdown Forest (on static cycles in The Forest’s Fitness Suite). They cycled approximately 241km and raised a fantastic £425. Wow! What a great effort. When asked about the challenge Christopher said. “Both Logan and I enjoyed our selves throughout the challenge and we both want to say a big thank you for helping us raise over our desired amount for Sport Relief.
